At a Glance:
Akari, Aika, and Alice stop by a hot spring again, where their discussion quickly shifts to Aika and Al’s relationship. Aika diverts the attention though, asking Akari what her relationship with Akatsuki is, but the Aria Company undine answers earnestly with a character introduction for him. Seeing this, Alice changes the subject back to Aika and Al, so Aika ignores her questions and leaves the bath. Back in their room, the three undines dig into some shaved ice and talk about pajamas, walnut bread, and eventually their senpais’ relationships. After they rule out the possibility for Akira and Athena, Aika suspects that Alicia might have someone based on what Akari tells her, and expresses her displeasure at the thought of it. Alice however says she’s just being selfish since she already has Al, making Aika question why Al’s name came up. Alice then asks what she would do if Alicia was seeing Al, so Aika retorts that that’s impossible, but is too flustered to say why. Akari begins saying, “it’s because Al and Aika…”, but gets cut off by Aika, who runs off to the hot spring out of embarrassment. Alice then asks Akari what she was about to say, so she says, “it’s because Al and Aika ate shaved ice together and seemed to get along.” Hearing this, Alice calls Akari an airhead and tells her that airheaded ideas are really forbidden.
Impressions:
It’s been awhile since the ARIA series ended, but even a picture drama is able to quickly remind me why I loved it so much. In short, watching the show makes you appreciate the little things in life more and try to be a nicer person on a daily basis. (Or at least that’s what it does to me.) While saying this will probably warrant a “Hazukashii serifu kinshi!” (”Embarrassing remarks aren’t allowed!”), I rewatched a few episodes of The ORIGINATION last week while I was sick in bed and it made me feel better like some sort of special medication. >_>
Anyway, I’m quite happy to see ARIA in some sort of animated form again and can’t wait to see the next picture drama. In the meantime though, I think I’ll continue reading the ARIA mangas that I picked up while in Japan. Since Amano Kozue completed the manga awhile ago, I was able to pick up all the volumes too.
Note: This first picture drama was around seven minutes long, which is almost double the length of the first CODE GEASS R2 Picture Drama. I’m not sure whether or not they’re all be this long, but I have my fingers crossed hoping that they will be.

Well it is only a DVD omake (i.e. Bonus Content), and not a full episode or anything. It’s a nice throw-in, but they don’t expect anyone to buy it seperately.

Is this series any good, i never watched even a episode of it, just totally missed watching it. also seems like manga and anime ended around the same time, do they have acceptable similar endings? or should i wait till i find all 12 volumes of it

Get all of it. The manga is nice and the anime is pretty similar. The great thing about the anime is also because of the music that goes with the scene which makes everything just… pure bliss.

Personally I loved Aria. It was simple storyline wise yet made sure to pay attention to every little detail that made watching it an experience rather then just a TV show.
